A company affiliated with Shamin Hotels is exploring the possibility of opening a boutique hotel in downtown Richmond.
The Richmond Economic Development Authority has approved the sale of its downtown business incubator for $2.5 million to 501 Franklin LLC, which is represented by Shamin Hotels CEO Neil Amin.
“The buyer’s proposal is to redevelop the building as a lifestyle-branded boutique hotel,” said Jane Ferrara, the authority’s director, in an email. “The EDA board is very pleased with and supportive of that plan.”
