Why can't DeSean Jackson be more like Josh Norman?
Norman is the Washington Redskins' best defensive player, while Jackson is the offensive deep playmaker. They'll certainly spend minicamp and training camp trying to prove who's better overall, as Jackson sprints downfield for passes while Norman single covers him.
It would be a perfect sound bite for HBO's "Hard Knocks" -- two colorful players who won't back off even in practice. Too bad it's not happening while the team goes through three OTA sessions.
Jackson continues to illustrate the "voluntary" in the OTA sessions in which everyone on the roster but the receiver is at Redskins Park. The team can't criticize him, because Jackson is entitled to sit out under the NFL's collective bargaining agreement, while teammates honor the locker room code of not shaming him into practicing, too. Jackson's Instagram account recently showed him working out in Los Angeles.
