Redskins End Minicamp With Upbeat Style

It was a light-hearted minicamp for the Washington Redskins, with big plays by both sides and bigger trash talk across the lines.

"You like that," each side would say as corners snagged interceptions or stopped red zone plays to offset downfield plays -- like DeSean Jackson and Jamison Crowder scoring.

The Redskins are off until training camp's July 28 start in Richmond, Va. Not that it's six weeks of vacation. Most players are taking a short trip to see family before returning to work out away from the team facility, as per NFL rules. But they finished the offseason workouts June 15 chirping like birds whenever a big play was made.

One moment, quarterback Kirk Cousins hit a 45-yard touchdown to Crowder. The next he was picked off by linebacker Will Compton. Just when Robert Kelley and Mack Brown gave the running game some hope, the pass rush smothered the backfield.
