On the morning of June 14, 2016, Maryland’s Medical Cannabis Commission held a late-announced policy committee meeting.

The meeting, which was open to the public, was called to discuss numerous proposed revisions to the regulations governing the state’s cannabis program. Shortly before the meeting took place, the Commission released 12 pages of proposed modifications.

Some of the proposals dealt with clarifying or correcting typographical or grammatical errors in the regulations. Many did not.

Grower, processor, dispensary, and independent laboratory applicants were understandably upset at a number of the proposals.
