Moments after the Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA title June 20, tweets started filling the timeline -- "Washington is the new Cleveland."
Just stop it.
Cleveland won its first pro championship in 52 years. Only one-third of its residents were alive in 1964 when the Browns won the NFL title.
But it has only been 25 years since a Washington pro team has won a championship. It may seem like a lifetime since the 1991 Redskins won Super Bowl XXVI, but it was truly a lifetime in Cleveland since hoisting a banner.
