Dave Gerstenmaier and his wife, Meril, are back to owning their Richmond-based land planning and landscape architecture firm.
The Gerstenmaiers had merged their H&G Landscape Architects business that he helped found more than a decade ago with a Raleigh, N.C.-based engineering, design and planning firm in January 2015. The Stewart firm wanted to merge as a way for it to expand into Virginia.
But the merger didn’t work, the Gerstenmaiers said. The breakup was effective June 1.
The Gerstenmaiers now are the sole owners of HG — the name of their new company. And that new firm has added civil engineering to its original land planning and landscape architecture services.
