Why won't Kevin Durant come home?
A parade of fans would carry Durant from the airport to the Verizon Center. He would have a daily life of cheering supporters following wherever he goes. All his friends and family would always be around him.
Then again, maybe that's the problem.
One of Washington's top basketball players, and certainly the best of the last quarter century, is finally a free agent. NBA teams spent two years positioning payrolls for when the Oklahoma City Thunder star becomes available July 1. The Washington Wizards could pay Durant if he wanted to come home.
