Deborah Davis Named CEO of VCU Health System Hospitals And Clinics

VCU Health has tapped one of its own to replace an outgoing CEO.

The system announced Monday that Deborah Davis will take over John Duval’s role as CEO of VCU Health System Hospitals and Clinics, as well as the position of vice president for clinical affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Duval announced his retirement late last week in a letter to VCU Health employees. The change will be effective Oct. 1.

Davis began serving as chief operating officer of VCU Health and VCU Hospitals nine years ago, “which was part of succession planning for this position,” a news release states.
