Edelman Financial Services' Rene Chaze Named CFO of the Year - Twice

In separate award announcements, Rene Chaze of Edelman Financial Services has been named Chief Financial Officer of the Year by both the Washington Business Journal and Virginia Business magazine.

The Washington Business Journal honors top CFOs in the Washington, D.C. area for outstanding performance as a corporate financial leader and contributor to the firm's exceptional performance. Virginia Business,recognizing outstanding CFOs in for-profit and nonprofit organizations, named Chaze CFO of the Year in the large private company category.

Chaze led the firm in several vital transactions in 2015, including one that resulted in a private equity firm acquiring a majority interest in the company. "Rene is a highly effective leader who excels at building deep business relationships. He has the business acumen of a world-class, strategic CFO," said Ric Edelman, founder and executive chairman of Edelman Financial.

Chaze joined Edelman Financial Services in 2011 as Vice President of Business Development, working closely with the executive team on strategic initiatives and priority growth programs, and was promoted to CFO in 2013. Chaze is a Certified Public Accountant actively licensed in Maryland and Virginia and is a registered representative with EF Legacy Securities, LLC.
