NAMI Elects Steve Pitman of California as National Board President

The Board of Directors of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) has elected Steve Pitman of Orange County, California as board president of the national organization. Pitman is an independent insurance broker whose family has been affected by mental illness for over 50 years.

Election of board officers for 2016-2017 occurred at NAMI's national convention in Denver, July 6-9, following election of new board members by the organization's membership. Board members are elected for three-year terms and may serve two consecutive terms.
