Joe Burns Joins EBA Engineering as Operations Manager for Water Systems Engineering

Robert J. (Joe) Burns, PE, has joined EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA) as operations manager of the firm’s water systems engineering practice. In this challenging role, he will oversee the department’s daily operations, as well as manage client relations and business development activities. He is based in Laurel, Maryland.

“Joe combines decades of experience in utility design and management for the local water and wastewater industry with technical prowess, project success, and a sincere commitment to his clients and teammates. We are delighted to welcome him to the EBA family,” said EBA President and CEO Rizwan Siddiqi, PE.

Burns brings more than 40 years of experience in water systems engineering and land development to his new role with EBA. In addition to his extensive project management experience for public and private clients, he specializes in design for stormwater management, storm drains, new and rehabilitated/relocated water and sewer mains, utility vaults, pumping stations, and treatment facility upgrades.

He earned both bachelor of science in engineering and master of environmental engineering degrees from The Johns Hopkins University. He is a licensed professional engineer in Maryland and the District of Columbia, and he holds certifications in erosion and sediment control and the NASSCO pipeline assessment and certification program (PACP).
