Industrial control system (ICS) cybersecurity company Dragos, Inc. announced the completion of their Seed round where they raised $1.2M from DataTribe. The Seed money will be utilized to build the Dragos Threat Operations Center which will provide remote ICS/SCADA threat hunting services and ICS specific technologies.
"There is a lack of visibility and insight into the cyber threats targeting infrastructure networks," said Robert M. Lee the CEO of Dragos. "We aim to hunt down these threats while developing solutions to return value to infrastructure operators and owners."
Robert is well known in the industrial security community having authored key reports such as the comprehensive report on the Ukraine electric grid cyber attack last December found herehttp://ics.sans.org/media/E-ISAC_SANS_Ukraine_DUC_5.pdf. Robert is also the author of the world's only ICS hunt and incident response class and gained his start in security in the U.S. Air Force as a Cyber Warfare Operations Officer.
The Dragos team goes much farther than the expertise of the CEO though. Co-founders Jon Lavender andJustin Cavinee first teamed up with Robert while working in the U.S. Intelligence Community where they established a mission focused on identifying nation-states carrying out attacks and cyber espionage against critical infrastructure.
