Classic Five Golf Courses to Participate in Patriot Golf Day

8/28/16

Baltimore Municipal Golf Corporation (BMGC), the nation’s first nonprofit organization dedicated to the management and operation of municipal golf courses, today announced all five of Baltimore’s Classic Five Golf Courses this Labor Day weekend will participate in Patriot Golf Day, a national fundraising effort to support the future of families of military service men and women.

Patriot Golf Day raises money for the Folds of Honor Foundation, which provides post-secondary educational scholarships for children and spouses of military service men and women killed or disabled while serving our country. In its ninth year, Patriot Golf Day has grown to include more than 5,000 participating golf courses across the country.

Classic Five Golf Courses will accept donations for Patriot Golf Day from Friday, September 2, through Monday, September 5. Donations can be made at the register, at any of Baltimore’s Classic Five Golf Courses: Pine Ridge, Mount Pleasant, Forest Park, Clifton Park and Carroll Park.

“Patriot Golf Day is a great way for the golf industry to come together each year and help the families of those who have lost their lives for our freedom,” said BMGC’s Executive Director Jon Ladd.  “We’re proud to support that cause at Baltimore’s Classic Five Golf Courses, and honor those who have given everything for our freedom.”
