Can Redskins Repeat As NFC East Champs?

Sports Illustrated predicted the Washington Redskins would finish last in the NFC East after winning it last year. What a joke.

But then Dallas lost quarterback Tony Romo indefinitely with another back injury, and Philadelphia essentially waved the rebuilding flag by trading quarterback Sam Bradford.

Suddenly, the division race seems to be between the Redskins and New York Giants, who spent a fortune on free agency for new coach Ben McAdoo. But as the Redskins can attest after owner Dan Snyder's first 15 years of failed mega-contracts, money doesn't equal wins.

What is the benchmark of success for the Washington Redskins this season? Given they haven't reached the playoffs in consecutive years since 1991-92, is it merely returning to the postseason? Or, after losing in the first round last year, must Washington win a playoff game to satisfy fans?
