Alfred Morris Remains A Redskin At Heart

Alfred Morris didn't want to leave the Washington Redskins. Fans didn't want him to go. And after Washington's miserable rushing performance during its season-opening loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers Sept. 12, second-guessers claim Morris should have been re-signed.

But the Redskins made the right move in not keeping the free agent. They just made the wrong move in not finding his replacement.

Morris returns FedEx Field as part of the Dallas Cowboys Sept. 18. He may be the first player on Washington's bitter rival to be cheered by Redskins fans. Two Pro Bowls and a single-season rushing record by an undrafted player during his time in Washington from 2012-15 creates a lifetime of good will.
