ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MPR Associates Inc. is pleased to announce that Robert Carritte has been named Principal Officer, replacing the retiring Paul Damerell. Mr. Carritte joins Robert Coward, Principal Officer, to form MPR's executive office.
Mr. Carritte began his career at MPR in 1986. With more than 30 years of engineering and leadership experience, he has performed various tasks such as: system analysis, equipment specification and test, design modifications, troubleshooting, and problem resolution. He has participated in design, procurement, and construction projects and has supervised and managed a variety of projects involving different types of facilities including: nuclear, coal and gas fired power plants, large scale wind farms, switchyards and substations, LNG facilities, petrochemical and steel facilities, and naval vessels.
Mr. Carritte earned both a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with honors and a Bachelor in Engineering Technology in Electrical Engineering Technology with honors from Northeastern University, and earned a Master of Science in Electric Power Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a member of both the American Nuclear Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

Mr. Carritte's transition comes as Paul Damerell, a 39 year veteran of MPR, steps down as Principal Officer, and moves into retirement. Mr. Damerell served as an MPR summer intern following his senior year at Purdue University. Upon completion of a Masters Degree at Purdue, he joined MPR. In 1999, following two decades of exemplary technical contributions, he was promoted to Principal Officer. "Over his career, Paul provided keen oversight and leadership to large and challenging projects," Mr. Carritte said. "The same technical rigor, analysis, and dedication he applied to those projects were also applied to his stewardship of MPR. I appreciate Paul's insight and guidance throughout our transition."
