Washington ran 17 times and passed 46 times during the 27-23 Week Two loss to Dallas. No matter it was a close game throughout. The Redskins rank last in the NFL in rushing attempts one season after rushing the ball 45 percent of the time.

When three straight fade routes failed in the end zone, head coach Jay Gruden said they might just throw three more times if in the same situation next week. Gruden also conceded the team should have just run the ball near the goal, only pass options were too tempting.
