Experts Tom Matzen, Jennifer Brennan and Charlie Platt Present on October 18 and 19

The eDiscovery and legal technology CLE event brings together leading experts and professionals from law firms, corporations and the bench to develop strategies, practices and resources for managing the information lifecycle.
Mr. Matzen, an international eDiscovery and data privacy expert, will be a featured speaker on Lexis Nexis’ keynote lunch session on October 19. The panel will explore best practices for investigations, ranging from internal to highly complex regulatory investigations. Mr. Matzen will be joined by experts from Lexis Nexis, Verizon, and Microsoft.
Mr. Platt, an expert in eDiscovery and relational analytics, will be moderating, “The Internet of Things (IoT) Creates A Thousand Points of (Evidentiary) Light. Can You See It?” starting at 11:45 a.m. on October 18. The discussion will focus on the IoT and its role within the EDRM. The IoT represents an extremely rich source of data that can make a tremendous difference in litigation. Mr. Platt will be joined by Don Myers of Littler, Nick Kaywork of the FBI and Mason Pan of Control Risks.
Ms. Brennan, a former partner at Gilbert LLP and an expert in managing projects throughout the entire EDRM lifecycle, will be a featured panelist on the “Amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure: The Early Returns.” Attendees will get a front row seat to the early case impact of the amendments and provide insights and practical guidance on how to address the changes in day-to-day practice. Ms.Brennan will be joined by Ralph Losey of Jackson Lewis, Rachel See of National Labor Relations and Cheryl Freely of Holland and Knight.
