Perry Hills Leads Terps Past Michigan State

To say Maryland quarterback Perry Hills has been through an eventful but frustrating career as a Terrapin would probably be an understatement. Hills started the first game of the Terps' 2012 season as a true freshman, tore his ACL later that season and earned the starting job in 2015 but threw 13 picks across nine games.

And just when Hills was playing the best ball of his college career in this, his senior season, a right shoulder injury, and the re-aggravation of said injury, forced him off the field on multiple occasions. After sitting out during Maryland's 31-10 loss to Minnesota Oct. 15, Hills' shoulder was healthy enough to lead the Terps to a 28-17 victory against Michigan State at Maryland Stadium Oct. 22.

"There's a lot of guys that wouldn't have even played, and not only did he play, but he played really well," Terps head coach DJ Durkin said. "That just tells you what he's all about. He's as tough as they come. He's been that way since day one, since [the coaching staff] got here.
