The British might confuse the Washington Redskins with a tattered colonial fife and drum corps.

The Redskins (4-3) travel to London Oct. 27 for their Oct. 31 matchup, perhaps minus several top players. Cornerback Josh Norman suffered a concussion during the 20-17 loss against Detroit Oct. 23. Offensive tackle Trent Williams, who injured his knee in Detroit, showed no structural damage after limping off the field. Meanwhile, tight end Jordan Reed will practice this week after missing two games with a concussion, but he still needs clearance by doctors before traveling to London.

The Redskins should gain a partisan crowd when facing the Bengals. Washington played a 1992 preseason game in London against San Francisco just seven months after winning its most recent Super Bowl. For many years, Redskins fan clubs throughout the United Kingdom would travel to Washington for one game annually and tour Redskins Park. Indeed, many Redskins fans throughout the UK and Spain, plus U.S. supporters, are expected at Wembley Stadium.
