BDO USA, LLP, one of the nation’s leading accounting and consulting organizations, today announced that Mark Ellenbogen has been promoted to Atlantic Assurance Regional Managing Partner. In this role, Mr. Ellenbogen is responsible for leading the assurance practices of eight offices stretching from Philadelphia to Charlotte, overseeing the formulation and implementation of growth strategies, as well as managing client services, recruiting and staff development.

His vast operational experience and problem-solving skills will make him an invaluable resource for the entire region.”

Mr. Ellenbogen has 22 years of experience in public accounting, which includes audits of public and private companies, in addition to consulting with clients on various accounting and operational issues, including mergers and acquisitions. He previously served as the managing partner of the Greater Washington, D.C. office where he was responsible for the local audit practice.

Mr. Ellenbogen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants and Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. He is a Board Member of the Association for Corporate Growth National Capital Chapter and the Northern Virginia Technology Council, and is the treasurer and audit committee chair of a Montgomery County non-profit social services agency. He earned his bachelor of business science and his postgraduate diploma in accounting from the University of Cape Town.
