Dr. Peter F. Buckley has been appointed VCU Health System executive vice president for medical affairs and dean of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.
The appointment is effective Jan. 17. In his role with VCU Health, Buckley will oversee the 600-member physician-faculty group practice of the academic health sciences center.
Buckley previously worked as dean of the Medical College of Georgia, and as executive vice president for medical affairs and integration.
