Donna Harris, cofounder and co-CEO of 15th Street-based incubator and seed fund 1776, announced Wednesday morning that she will be stepping down from her co-CEO role come the end of January. The grande dame of #dctech made this announcement in a lengthy post published to Medium.

Harris has co-led 1776 for its entire four year existence.

“What an incredible four years it has been!” she writes. “What started from that first 1776 campus in Washington, D.C., we’ve grown to unleash a global movement of thousands of incredible, passionate entrepreneurs who are tackling some of the world’s most difficult problems.”
