Maryland junior guard Melo Trimble and the Terps' trio of productive freshmen -- guards Anthony Cowan and Kevin Huerter and guard/forward Justin Jackson -- were the headliners for the Terps during their 4-0 start.

Trimble led the way with 22 points during the Terps' opener against American Nov. 11, while Cowan added 12. Trimble had another 22 points in Maryland's win at Georgetown Nov. 15, and Jackson supported him with 17. Trimble again led the Terps with 27 points during their win against Towson Nov. 20; Jackson pitched in 21 and Cowan, 12.

Missing from Maryland's offensive arsenal were head coach Mark Turgeon's returning veterans other than Trimble. Turgeon found those contributors during a 77-63 victory against Stony Brook Nov. 22. Junior center Michal Cekovsky scored 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting in his season debut, and redshirt sophomore guard Dion Wiley went 4-for-5 from 3-point range and scored 13 points.
