Many Orioles fans can't let go of the wild-card game. Fans, big and small, raised the Zach Britton question to manager Buck Showalter at this weekend's FanFest.
Immediately after the loss in Toronto, Showalter was defensive about why he didn't use Britton in a tied game. Two days later at the season-ending news conference, a visibly exhausted Showalter softened a bit, saying he'd take responsibility for it.
Nearly four months later with the opening of spring training barely two months away, Showalter is now joking about it.
When a fan asked him about the move in a forum for season ticket holders, he chortled: "It wasn't very good, was it?"
