MARTINSVILLE-Monogram Snacks hopes to add two national companies to its list of customers over the next two months. Company officials announced that on Wednesday, saying if they were successful, it would mean a multi-million dollar capital investment and up to 100 additional jobs.

“The governor visited with us three or four weeks ago and I told him we are pursuing two big, new pieces of business for Martinsville, two big customers,” said Karl Schledwitz, chairman and chief executive officer of Monogram's parent company, Monogram Food Solutions. “One of them is coming in the 17th, which is two weeks from now and another one is coming back at the end of the month for the second visit. If we get both of them we would probably actually expand into Mehler Lane distribution facility. We’re hoping to get both and the governor has said he is going to do whatever he could to help us get that.”

As the deals have not been finalized, Monogram is under a nondisclosure agreement and can't can't name the companies they're negotiating with.
