Apartments Targeting VCOM Students And CRC Employees Planned

Developer Jeanne Stosser has drawn up plans for her latest multi-million dollar apartment complex that will target students attending the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and employees of the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center.

Stosser, known for her construction of student housing, is seeking a rezoning for approximately 6.4 acres of land off South Main Street to allow the construction of a four-story building that will comprise 109 mostly two-bedroom units and some studio apartments.

Located just off South Main and Dowdy Drive, the apartment building plan is a revamp of a past project that involved some form of hotel-type lodging in that same location.
