RiverFront Investment Group Announces Promotions

RiverFront Investment Group, LLC, headquartered in Richmond, VA, announces several promotions, as well as the formalization of its long-standing Investment Committee (IC).

Adam Grossman, CFA, formerly Chief Global Equity Officer, has been promoted to Global Equity Chief Investment Officer (CIO). Adam joined RiverFront seven years ago from the Virginia Retirement System (VRS) where he managed International Equity and Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) Portfolios. Adam has led and significantly improved RiverFront's equity investment processes after being named Chief Global Equity Officer in 2015.

Tim Anderson, CFA, formerly, Chief Fixed Income Officer, has been promoted to Global Fixed Income CIO. Tim brings over 25 years of experience in all aspects of the fixed-income arena. Tim was one of RiverFront's founding employees and manages RiverFront's fixed income strategies, sub-advised exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and the fixed income portion of RiverFront's balanced portfolios.

Chris Konstantinos, CFA, has been promoted to Chief Investment Strategist. Chris will also continue in his current role as Director of International Equity. Since the founding of RiverFront in 2008, Chris has had an array of investment responsibilities including serving as a member of our US Equity team, Head of Risk Management, and most recently Director of International Equity.

Rod Smyth has been promoted to Director of Investments. As one of RiverFront's four founding partners, Rod has been an important contributor to RiverFront's investment decision making process since our strategies were incepted. Rod will also serve as Chairman of RiverFront's Investment Committee as outlined below.

Doug Sandler, CFA, is now Riverfront's Global Strategist reflecting both his day-to-day responsibilities as a member of our investment team and as a major spokesman for the organization.

Rob Glownia, CFA, CFP, has been promoted to Fixed Income Portfolio Manager. Prior to joining the fixed income group, Rob served as the firm's Quantitative Strategist supporting the asset allocation and risk management groups.

Michael Jones, CFA, remains Chairman of the Board of RiverFront Investment Group, LLC and RiverFront Investments Holdings Group, LLC. He continues to lead the Asset Allocation Team. In addition, Michael was named President and Chief Executive Officer of RiverFront's RiverShares Division, which is charged with growing its successful ETF business.

RiverFront also announced they have formalized their Investment Committee. The promotions of Rod, Tim, Adam and Chris, and the formalization of the IC, will broaden the CIO responsibilities from one to multiple individuals coordinated through the IC.Importantly, ultimate decision making responsibility remains with the Heads/CIOs of each group: Michael Jones for Strategic Asset Allocation; Kevin Nicholson for Tactical Allocation; Adam Grossman for Global Equity; Tim Andersonfor Global Fixed Income; and Rebecca Felton for Risk Management. Rod Smyth will serve as Chairman of the committee.
