Humanitas International Launches in Washington, D.C.

New Nonprofit Corporation to Make Positive Global Impact Through Aid & Education Services

Launched in January 2018, nonprofit corporation Humanitas International will work to assist people in the greatest need around the globe. Designed to alleviate human suffering, improve lives, and foster respect, Humanitas International will work to make a positive impact globally by providing aid and educational resources to our neighbors around the world.

The organization, which will be led by President John-Sebastian Laird-Hammond, will focus a majority of their efforts on refugee programs, including providing temporary housing and relocation services, emergency food and water, medical services, and education. Education services will include providing life skills training, classroom education and access to learning materials such as books and other resources. Medical support will include providing access to first aid, cholera prevention, and vaccinations.

Humanitas International activities will be conducted by the organization’s officers, directors, and volunteers, and will be funded by individual contributions and grants from public and private foundation and government agencies.
