Even though Mount St. Mary's University is located right on the edge of one of the America's lacrosse hotbeds, it's not easy to build a successful program when you have to compete for players against several of the nation's top teams.
Despite the challenges, the Mountaineers and fourth-year head coach Lauren Schwarzmann seem to have found their niche.
The Mount is off to a 4-4 start this season after a 4-11 campaign last year in which the team didn't earn its fourth victory until April 23.
