Co-founder Of Virginia Beach Mattress Company Leesa Betrayed His Family's Business, Says Lawsuit

It was 1936 when Albert Diamonstein bought a stake in what would become Paramount Sleep in Norfolk, a mattress-maker that has been owned by his family for three generations.

More than 80 years later, his grandson Jamie Diamonstein has been accused in a lawsuit of betraying the family business.

He struck out on his own with a consultant who had been working with Paramount, stealing the company’s business opportunity to launch Leesa Sleep, says the suit.

Leesa, one of hundreds of companies that box and ship folded mattresses to online shoppers, is being sued by Paramount Industrial Companies Inc. for nearly $62 million.
