
You might think that after accomplishing his goal of qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 110-meter hurdles, Coppin State University sophomore Aaron Lewis would have been eager to relax and celebrate.
Instead, he was nervous and focused on the upcoming 200-meter race.
That race at the NCAA East Regional meet in Tampa, Fla., May 26 was the final opportunity for teammate Joseph Amoah, who had missed qualifying in the 100 meters by .003 earlier in the day, to qualify and join Lewis at the national championship meet in Eugene, Ore., June 6-9.
