The injuries continued in fantasy baseball, as Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw and Boston Red Sox right fielder Mookie Betts were both placed on the disabled list June 1.

This is the second time Kershaw has landed on the DL this season. The first injury was biceps tendinitis. There's no way Kershaw will return value this year for fantasy owners, but hopefully his production has already been replaced since he missed most of May.

The Betts injury is frustrating because the outfielder has been the most productive fantasy hitter this season, and the Red Sox delayed their decision to put him on the DL for almost a week. In weekly leagues, I'm sure most fantasy owners rolled the dice and left Betts in their lineups since the injury was downplayed. Betts is eligible to return from his abdominal strain June 8, so hopefully he won't miss much time.
