It was another fantasy baseball weekend filled with injuries. Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher and designated hitter Shohei Ohtani, Washington Nationals starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg and New York Yankees starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka have all landed on the disabled list.
The hits just keep coming, and it's extremely frustrating, as it's hard to find the production owners are losing on the waiver wire or even through trades. As a fantasy industry, we have to take a long look how we evaluate the starting pitching market during draft season, as 10 of the top 25 starting pitchers ranked according to FantasyPros.com have dealt with injuries at some point this season. We're not even mid-way through June. This will be something I take seriously this offseason, and I will look at how to attack this position moving forward.
