The Hawthorn Group, L.C., a Washington, D.C. area public affairs firm, has promoted Liam Goodwin to Senior Research Associate.

Goodwin joined Hawthorn in January 2018 from Capitol Hill where, in in the U.S. House of Representatives, he specialized in public policy tracking legislative trends on a broad range of domestic and global issues. His experience includes analysis and media monitoring on business, health care financing and Far East diplomacy.

"Liam's background will be important to serving Hawthorn's clients in many industries, across multiple states, seeking strategic communications counseling," said Hawthorn President and Chief Operating Officer Suzanne Hammelman. "Everything we do depends on accurate in-depth research and Liam will be an integral part of our design, planning and implementation of advocacy and crisis management projects."

Goodwin recently graduated from the George Washington University and is currently working on his Masters of Public Policy at the same institution.
