We'll get back to our normal routine with waiver wire targets later in the week, but with teams having played just a weekend series since the All-Star break, I wanted to continue to look at the first half of the season. Here are players who let fantasy owners down during the first half of the season but should provide production during the final couple of months:

Houston Astros Outfielder George Springer -- The outfielder is currently batting .253 with only 16 home runs after finishing the last two seasons with at least 29 homers. Springer is a career .263 hitter, so he's underperforming in that aspect, as well. Springer's current batting average with balls in play is .279 which is below league average and his career average. That means Springer has been unlucky and is bound to turn things around. The 28-year-old's hard hit and pull percentages are right around his career averages, so he still has that skill set. Springer should still approach close to 30 home runs and the average should normalize, as well, which is great news for fantasy owners for the remainder of the season. Another positive for Springer is he could actually finish with double-digit steals, which he hasn't done since 2015.
