Fantasy Baseball Waiver-Wire Targets: August 3, 2018

The Major League Baseball non-waiver wire trade deadline has passed and now we can return to normalcy during the final two months of the season. It's been a wild couple weeks with the All-Star break later than usual and a flurry of trades involving impact players. Fantasy owners can now settle in for the stretch run and make the final push to improve in the standings.

Waiver-Wire Targets:

Texas Rangers Reliever José Leclerc - The Rangers traded closer Keone Kela, which provides an opening for fantasy owners to attack. There's no definitive answer as to who will take over the ninth inning for the Rangers, but Leclerc seems to be the choice. The right-hander has pitched to a 2.27 ERA with 56 strikeouts during 39.2 innings pitched. The ability to rack up strikeouts and hopefully earn saves for the final two months could give fantasy owners a nice boost.
