Ricky Lindo, a forward out of Woodrow Wilson High School (Washington, D.C.), will join the Maryland basketball team immediately, the program announced Aug. 15.
"I've always been a Maryland fan since I was younger growing up in the area, and it was basically a dream come true to be able to play for my hometown school that I've always admired," Lindo said in a statement.
Lindo was originally set to spend a post-graduate year at Northfield Mount Hermon School (Mass.), but he reclassified to the 2018 class. Lindo will join Aaron Wiggins and Trace Ramsey as wings in the Terps' 2018 class, which was already ranked seventh nationally by 247Sports. The class also includes Baltimore forward Jalen Smith (Mount St. Joseph) and guards Eric Ayala and Serrel Smith.
