Speaking to the media for the first time since being named interim head coach Aug. 11, Matt Canada said the Maryland football team was in a good place for its Aug. 15 practice.
"Our culture right now is great," Canada said Aug. 15. "Our culture right now is awesome. Our kids are excited to play, and they're loving each other."
Maryland athletic director Damon Evans has set up a time for parents of student-athletes to meet with the coaching staff Aug. 18.
"Our parents and our players want to have a good football season," Canada said. "That's what we're focused on."
