Len Elmore, who starred on the University of Maryland men's basketball team from 1971-1974 and has served in a variety of roles in the college sports landscape since the end of his playing career, said he would be willing to take a position at the university.
Elmore told Glenn Clark Radio Aug. 21 he recently became a full-time professor in Columbia University's sports management program, but he would make time for Maryland because "my loyalty's always been to my alma mater."
"I kind of doubt that I'm held in that kind of esteem for those who are decision-makers at this time," Elmore said in reference to a position at Maryland. "... I certainly, even on a temporary basis, would be more than willing to try to help."
