Heading into the Maryland football team's season opener against Texas Sept. 1, interim head coach Matt Canada still isn't ready to announce his starting quarterback, even if he's sure behind closed doors.
"I have decided on a starting quarterback, but we're not going to discuss that today." Canada said at a news conference Aug. 28.
The official depth chart released by the program lists quarterbacks Tyrrell Pigrome and Kasim Hill as starters in the season opener. The Terps' top two passers suffered ACL tears last September but are healthy and cleared to play.
