Four Observations On The Terps' Win Against Texas

The Maryland football team opened its 2018 campaign Sept. 1 with a victory against Texas, 34-29, the second straight season the Terps have begun the season with a victory against the Longhorns.

Texas became the first team besides Rutgers the Terps have beaten more than once since 2015.

The Terps' offense exploded for 24 points during the first half behind freshman wide receiver Jeshaun Jones and redshirt freshman Kasim Hill, who played for the first time since tearing his ACL last season against Central Florida in September. After a lengthy weather delay during the second half, the Terps promptly came back onto the field, kicked a field goal and forced three turnovers to ensure victory.
