I learned something Sept. 1.
It wasn't that I learned that Maryland was capable of beating Texas. Honestly, I thought I knew that. I mean, I had seen what happened a year ago in Austin, Texas, and with Terps quarterbacks Kasim Hill and Tyrrell Pigrome healthy again, I didn't see enough that was different about Texas to warrant the Longhorns being double digit favorites on the "road."
Hopefully Texas plays well the rest of the season so the win can help Maryland get to the good side of the College Football Playoff bubble. (I'm kidding, of course -- unless by some insane set of circumstances this actually plays out, in which case remember that I totally called it.)
