Former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Qadry Ismail believes there could be major changes for the Ravens if the team doesn't improve upon a disappointing 2017 season that ended abruptly with a last-minute loss to the Cincinnati Bengals to prevent a playoff berth.
Despite ranking in the top 10 in points last season, Baltimore finished 27th in total offense. The team's defense provided the most takeaways in the league but for the third straight year, the Ravens missed out on the playoffs.
To address the offensive inefficiency, Baltimore overhauled the wide receiving corps with offseason singings. The Ravens provided starting quarterback Joe Flacco weapons in receivers John Brown, Michael Crabtree and Willie Snead IV. The Ravens waived their 2015 first-round pick, wide receiver Breshad Perriman, a decision Ismail thinks illustrates the urgency for success.
