Our mindset changes over the next couple of weeks when attacking the waiver wire. If there was a player who would help in multiple categories, he was scooped up a long time ago. We must target players who will help in whatever category we are weak in and hope it will be enough to make some movement in the standings.
Waiver-Wire Targets:
San Diego Padres Outfielder Franmil Reyes - I recommended the outfielder Aug. 10 as a player who could help in the power department, and it looks like that is finally happening. The 23-year-old has hit six home runs since Aug. 25 and now has 15 on the season during just 66 games. Reyes is only 34 percent owned in Yahoo! Sports leagues and should be added if you need home runs during the final couple of weeks.
