Ernst & Young LLP (EY) today announced that Ryan Abraham has joined the legislative group of Washington Council Ernst & Young (WCEY) in Washington, DC, as a Principal. Abraham most recently served as the Senior Tax Counsel for the United StatesSenate Committee on Finance.
"Ryan's reputation as a consensus builder, working to achieve goals in a bipartisan manner, paired with his in-depth tax policy knowledge and political experience will be a tremendous asset to EY and our Washington Council clients," said Ray Beeman, co-leader of WCEY.

Prior to joining WCEY, Abraham spent 14 years at the Senate Finance Committee serving under former Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT) and current Ranking Member Ron Wyden (D-OR). Most recently, Abraham was the lead policy advisor on corporate and pass-through business taxation, with a focus on international, energy and infrastructure tax.

Over the last decade, Abraham served as a key staffer on a variety of tax reform proposals that were developed by the Finance Committee culminating in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.

Abraham, a native of Missoula, MT, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College and a Juris Doctor from American University.
