Despite the hype regarding backup quarterback Lamar Jackson's future with the Baltimore Ravens, CBS analyst Steve Tasker believes that while Jackson's presence on the field won't make the team much better this season, his abilities will force teams to spend time during the week preparing for potential gadget plays.
"I think when it comes down to that, you may gain a little bit of something for Joe Flacco," Tasker said on Glenn Clark Radio Sept. 10. "They're not going to be as ready for Joe if they're spending any time getting ready for Lamar."
Jackson was well known in college for his playmaking ability during three years for Louisville. The former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback was known more for his legs than his arm, rushing for 4,132 yards with 50 touchdowns for the Cardinals from 2015-2017.
