Seasoned HR Professional Joins Life Plan Organization

Ingleside, a premier, charitable not-for-profit provider of comprehensive older adult opportunities in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, named Salvatore (Sam) Albanese as the new senior vice president of human resources and compliance. His responsibilities will consist of leading Ingleside’s human resources organization and its corporate compliance program.

“Sam comes to Ingleside with many outstanding achievements and impressive professional experience,” said Ingleside President and CEO Lynn O’Connor. “He is an out-of-the-box thinker who leads by example and delivers solid results by combining human capital resources and compliance initiatives with best practices.”

Albanese comes to Ingleside with more than 30 years of experience designing HR strategic business models that provide flexibility while advancing employee engagement, productivity, and success. Most recently, Albanese served as vice president & chief human resources officer for Trinity Health and Trinity Health Senior Communities for 14 years. During his tenure, he reduced colleague turnover by more than 30 percent in one year, which saved an estimated $4.5 million.

Albanese has been a national speaker for the Long-Term Care and Senior Living CXO Summit, The American Society of Healthcare Human Resources Administration, Leading Age National Conference and Leading Age of Michigan. He is the past president of Michigan’s Healthcare Human Resources Association.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in human resources from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan and received the President’s Award for Outstanding Leadership from the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration. He also attended the University of Michigan’s Executive Education program for strategic human resources planning.
