For many college athletes, being ruled academically ineligible for a full season might be a setback they could never fully overcome. That has not been the case for Morgan State senior offensive tackle Josh Miles.
While Miles admitted that sitting out the 2017 season was the "most challenging thing I've ever had to go through," the preseason All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference selection used the time to adjust his priorities and propel toward a potential opportunity to play in the National Football League.
"I really used it as motivation," said Miles, a product of Western Tech in Baltimore. "I worked hard in the classroom and got my GPA above 3.3 for both semesters, so I righted that wrong. Then I really threw myself into training, and I also got a lot of reps with the scout team, which allowed me to perfect my technique."
