Dick Gordon, a Baltimore attorney who represented prominent professional athletes following their playing careers, died Sept. 25 following a brief illness. Mr. Gordon was 85.
Mr. Gordon assisted baseball luminaries such as Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio, Frank Robinson, Luis Aparicio, Dwight Evans, Tony Kubek, Carl Yaztrzemski and Earl Weaver with promotional events, including autograph signings.
Mr. Gordon may have not been familiar to the average baseball fan, but he had outsized influence within the game among players and the game's movers and shakers.
